This skid plate is designed for Suzuki Jimny models which have an electronically activated transfer case (model year 2005+). The plate is necessary to protect the sensitive parts that are exposed on the underside of the vehicle. The plate not only protects your vehicle but also allows you to “slide” over obstacles without getting caught on branches or rocks, etc.
